STYPPY publishes fashion, style and grooming guides that answer the questions real people ask. This page explains how we research, write, check and update every article, so you know what you can expect from us.
Who writes for STYPPY
Articles are written and edited by the STYPPY Team. Every guide carries a byline and a link back to this policy. When an article covers skin, hair loss or anything that touches health, we base the advice on published guidance from medical bodies such as the American Academy of Dermatology, and we say clearly when you should see a doctor or dermatologist instead of relying on an article.
How we research
- Primary sources first. Product facts, prices, materials and specifications come from the brand or manufacturer, and health claims come from medical or scientific sources, not from other blogs.
- Several sources for every claim. If sources disagree, we say so rather than picking the convenient answer.
- Real-world use. Style advice is checked against how clothes actually fit and wear, not just how they look in product photos.
- Research tools. We use search and writing tools, including AI assistants, to gather sources and prepare drafts. A person on our team checks every article against its sources before it is published, and takes responsibility for it.
How we choose products
When we recommend a product, it is because we think it is a good choice for a specific reader: a budget, a body type, a skin type or an occasion. Brands cannot pay to be included in our lists or to change what we say about them. If a brand sends us a product, we say so in the article.
Keeping articles up to date
Style trends, prices and products change. We review our most-read guides regularly and update them when facts change. Each article shows the date it was last updated.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, please tell us through our contact page. We check every report, correct errors quickly and update the article date when a correction changes the advice.
Advertising and affiliate links
STYPPY is free to read. We pay for it through display advertising and, in some articles, affiliate links. Advertisers never see or approve articles before they are published. Read our affiliate disclosure for details.
